Hi Friends.
The sad news is that Breyden's wallet has gone missing while he was at a public pool in Revelstoke (either accidentally or by ill intent... not sure at this point). He has been forced to hang tight for the moment; at least until he can get some of his critical ID replaced.
Kindly consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society on his behalf. Even a small donation helps, and would be really encouraging to him at this time.
Also, feel free to leave comments on this blog. He reads the blog when he can (of course his Internet access is limited) but I will be sure to pass on any comments to him.
Thanks to you all.

The road to Revelstoke
Tomorrow, Saturday April 27, 2013 is the official Canadian Cancer Societies' Daffodil Day. Breyden will be arriving in Revelstoke this evening or tomorrow morning to take participate in the towns' ceremonies. We are working with a local business and the community to have Breyden join in on their events.

600 Kilometers!
Breyden reached Malakawa last night (I never heard of it either). Which officially puts him past the 600 kilometer mark. WOW! He is doing so well. Having walked with him for a few days and about 24 kilometers I have a much greater appreciation... and respect for what he is doing.
(and pass it on)
But he really needs your help everyone. Let's not forget that he is doing this to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. Please go to his CCS donations page and make a donation. Every amount is greatly appreciated.

Back on the road
After a decent layover in Salmon Arm, Breyden is back on the road today. Continuing along the Trans Canada highway, he headed off this afternoon hoping to make Sicamous by nightfall and then continue on towards Revelstoke tomorrow.

Salmon Arm
Looking back over some of the pictures from Salmon Arm, I had to post some more of these. I especially like the one where Mayor Cooper tries on his backpack for size. I`ve tried it myself and it is seriously heavy!!

Salmon Arm Arrival
Monday was a very anxious and exciting day for everyone. Breyden arrived to his hometown of Salmon Arm at about 4:30 in the afternoon. After meeting family and friends on the outskirts of town he proceeded to City hall to meet Mayor Nancy Cooper. Mayor Cooper pinned a yellow daffodil on Breyden's back and presented him with a generous cheque to put towards his fundraising.
Breyden's proud grandparents, Al and Norma, were also there to share in the moment. They have contributed a lot of time to assisting Breyden by following him in their motor home for much of the past week to provide food and a warm bed.
